Every anime avatar you see has a custom shader. The thing about shaders though is they’re more often than not critical to avatars, unlike particles.

I think it sucks for the newcomers who are trying to get a first impression of the game and its community, and if we put people having fun in a way that isn't disruptive to others first, VRChat could be a better version of itself for everyone and not be dismissed as a seasonal garry's mod style sandbox game when its really a platform for people from all kinds of different backgrounds to interact with each other about their interests. Random people may steal avatars, crash people, and/or trigger animation overrides with obstructive/disturbing content, I don't know why they do this (which is a separate issue we ought to talk to them about), but they are okay with having this stuff happen in VRChat so the only thing we can do is panic button + report leaving it in the hands of the moderation team or we can look to strengthen existing bonds with friendly people and hang out in worlds secluded from the general public of the VRChat userbase, going to public worlds occasionally but understanding we take a chance to have something bad happen to us every time we do so.

Even if you report the trolls and they do get banned, it's still extremely easy for them to just create another account and do it all over again. For some it's easier to do, for others it's traumatizing. There is nothing you can do to prevent this kind of events from happening everyone has to witness it and suck it up. I really love this game's community and how it keeps growing, but I just can't accept that it gets ruined by trolls who abuse the system. Filled the screen with two naked guys doing some "wrestling" (with a small 12 year old girl in the lobby) Filled the screen with KKK "pictures" to say the least, with a deafening music in the back (I always play with very low volume but it still was very loud for me, can't imagine for the other players) I've played for three hours and had to experience (and a lot of other players too) two time trolls who either: It's already pretty awful to see how avatars that people spend hours creating get stolen in almost every place they dare to connect but it's another story when you can't even go in a world with other players without fearing to have your screen filled with porn or gore by trolls (and the dangerously high volume they blast with it). In almost every world I visited some players would steal others avatars, make everyone lag and shortly after make the game crash (I could hear other people saying in mic that they were freezing/lagging and then my game would stop). It was already probably said a lot of time in here but I felt the need to still talk about it after just getting attacked.
